Its intimate yet international appearance attracted me. Furthermore, the diversity of the business groups and products - all of which are top of the market. In the traineeship I would get to see a lot of different companies and choose my own assignments.

I created a roadmap which helped Pon Equipment Denmark towards reaching the targets set out in the G15 agreement between Pon and Caterpillar. This was an agreement setting out the most important growth targets for 2015, such as market share, revenue and loyalty. My most important tasks were unraveling the G15 plan for PEDK and advising the management team on how to close the gap between IST (current situation) and SOLL (G15 plan).

Together with Market Intelligence I developed a dashboard with indicators which showed the short term direction of the total car market in the Netherlands. Together with the dashboard, a set of possible short and long-term measurements was created to steer the company in several market scenarios. This tool was to be discussed in the two weekly board meetings and helped the company to be flexible and make well founded decisions with respect to developments in the market.

Project 1: Setting up a new management report for the Pon Bicycle Group. This process consisted of, first of all, mapping out the current reporting systems of the recently acquired companies and the KPI's needed in the Pon Bicycle Group, and based on this, setting up a uniform management reporting system.

Project 2: Supporting the decision making regarding the organizational and IP structure of Cervélo and the transfer pricing systematic for the different transactions within the group.

I currently work for Bakker Sliedrecht as a controller. As I'm the first controller in the company, my responsibilities at the moment are mainly professionalizing the role of the controller and of the Finance department in the company.

Passion to perform

My short term goals is to set up a professional controlling function/department within Bakker Sliedrecht. Thereafter I would like to grow fast within financial management, ceasing every opportunity I see on the way.
